What is belize flag?

The flag of Belize features horizontal stripes in blue on the top and bottom, with a white stripe in the middle that has two red borders. In the center of the white strip is the coat of arms of Belize, which depicts a shield with a ship in full sail, representing the arrival of European settlers, flanked by two woodcutters and their tools, and below the shield is the national motto: "Sub Umbra Floreo" (I flourish in the shade). The blue stripes represent the Caribbean Sea and the sky, while the white symbolizes peace and the unity of the people of Belize, and the red represents the color of the political parties and the blood of the people who have given their lives for their country. The Belize flag was adopted on September 21, 1981, when the country gained independence from Great Britain.
